Dexter's Bakeshop, one of the fastest-growing bakehouses in the country topped the wedding cake competition held recently at the Philippine Center for International Trade and Exhibitions (Philcite) during the latter's "First Jewellery and Wedding Show". It was the first time that Dexter's Bakeshop owned and managed by the Rebolledos themselves, joined a wedding cake competition. It's products, however, have been capping the most elegant banquets for some fifteen years.

It isn't everyday that first time contestants wins a major distinction in a competition dominated by heavy weights. That's why for Dexter's, victory was three times sweeter. Last September 22, Dexter's scored a double in the recently concluded Chef's on Parade 1993. They were given the gold and bronze medal for the Freestyle wedding cake competition and traditional wedding cake competition respectively. A victory not expected, but well deserved.
