Dexter’s cakes have graced most of the prominent celebrations in the Philippines. From birthdays, to coming out parties, to anniversaries and weddings, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see their cakes as the centerpiece of these occasions. And their customers often transcend generations, in some cases, girls who had their birthday cakes made by Dexter’s have their wedding cakes done there as well. Proof of the timelessness of their creations.
While satisfied clients are gauges enough to measure success, Dexter’s has also been recognized by many institutions both here and abroad. Wilton, considered by many as the bible of cake decorating, featured two of Dexter’s design and published them in their book.
The Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines, through its Chefs on Parade contest has likewise been generous in their recognition and acclaim. In 1997, they were elevated to the hall of fame by winning the Gold with Distinction award in two different categories for 3 straight years. This feat was both astounding and unprecedented for a family business going up against some of the countries biggest hotels and well-established bakeshops. But while the triumph was a surprise, it was well deserved.
